Custom SQL-Backed Blockchain Explorers
Searchable, project-specific explorers built around your blockchain
Chainetics develops custom blockchain explorers for independent cryptocurrency networks using a structured SQL database as the persistent index behind the public web interface.
The explorer continuously reads blockchain data from the coin's node software, stores normalized chain information in SQL, and presents transactions, blocks, addresses and network statistics through a fast, searchable web interface.
Unlike a generic explorer package, a custom implementation can be adapted to the actual characteristics of the network: unusual transaction fields, multiple Proof-of-Work algorithms, project- specific statistics, monetary-supply reporting, mining data, service-node information, or other features unique to the coin.
Custom Explorer Development
From $1,500
Development cost depends on the blockchain software, available RPC interfaces, chain size, required features and degree of customization.

1. Blockchain Node
A synchronized full node provides authoritative blockchain data through RPC, ZMQ or other supported interfaces.
2. Indexer
A dedicated indexing process reads blocks and transactions, validates continuity and converts chain data into structured database records.
3. SQL Database
Blocks, transactions, addresses, outputs and statistics are stored in indexed SQL tables for fast historical queries, reporting and analysis.
4. Web Explorer
The public interface provides human-readable search, navigation, statistics and project-specific blockchain information.

Why SQL?
A relational database turns raw blockchain data into an operational information system.
Fast Historical Queries
Proper indexing allows historical block, transaction and address information to be searched without repeatedly asking the daemon to reconstruct large amounts of chain history.
Custom Analytics
SQL makes it practical to build project-specific reports, aggregate statistics, monetary-supply calculations, mining summaries and operational dashboards.
Data Integrity
The indexer can track block continuity, detect reorganizations, maintain synchronization state and rebuild affected records when chain history changes.
Independent Applications
Once indexed, the same database can support public explorers, APIs, statistics pages, monitoring systems and project-specific administrative tools.
Development Pricing
Explorer development is quoted according to the complexity of the blockchain and the features required.
Standard Explorer
$1,500–$2,500
For a conventional Bitcoin-derived blockchain with usable RPC interfaces and standard block and transaction structures.
- SQL schema and database setup
- Blockchain indexer
- Blocks and transactions
- Address lookup
- Basic network statistics
- Unified search
- Responsive project-branded interface
Customized Explorer
$2,500–$5,000
For projects requiring custom statistics, unusual chain data, additional reporting, APIs or substantial visual customization.
- Everything in Standard Explorer
- Project-specific statistics
- Custom SQL queries and reports
- Additional network/mining data
- API or JSON endpoints
- Extended branding and layout work
- Custom charts or historical views
Complex / Specialized
From $5,000
For non-standard blockchains, difficult indexing requirements, large historical datasets or explorer features requiring significant original engineering.
- Non-standard chain structures
- Multi-algorithm PoW analysis
- Special transaction parsing
- Large-data optimization
- Custom backend services
- Migration from an existing explorer
- Code-level daemon integration
Development quotation
The development price is fixed after a technical review of the source repository, RPC capabilities, blockchain size and requested features. Additional features can be quoted separately so the project's initial scope remains predictable.
Explorer Hosting & Monitoring
Chainetics can host and operate the complete explorer stack after development.
Managed Explorer
$125/month + infrastructure
Suitable for a standard public explorer with normal traffic and moderate blockchain/database requirements.
- Web application hosting
- SQL database operation
- Indexer supervision
- Availability monitoring
- Automatic service restart
- Routine backups
- TLS/HTTPS certificate maintenance
- Routine application updates
Managed Explorer Plus
$225/month + infrastructure
For larger explorers, important project infrastructure or installations needing closer operational supervision.
- Everything in Managed Explorer
- Database growth monitoring
- Indexer-lag monitoring
- Backup verification
- Performance review and tuning
- Priority incident response
- Minor report/query adjustments
- Monthly operational review
High-Availability Explorer
Custom Quote
For explorers requiring redundancy, large databases, high traffic, API consumers or other production-critical services.
- Redundant web or database services
- Separate indexing infrastructure
- Enhanced backup/recovery strategy
- External health checks
- Capacity planning
- Custom monitoring and alerting
- Defined recovery procedures
Infrastructure charges
VPS, dedicated-server, storage and bandwidth costs are billed separately because explorer requirements vary greatly with chain size, indexing strategy, traffic and database growth.
The explorer may run on client-owned infrastructure or on systems provisioned by Chainetics. When Chainetics supplies the infrastructure, the monthly invoice includes the actual hosting cost plus the selected management plan.
Typical Development Process
1. Analyze
We review the source code, RPC methods, transaction model, chain size and project-specific requirements.
2. Index
We design the SQL schema and indexing process, then import and validate blockchain history.
3. Present
Search, block, transaction, address and statistics pages are built around the project's branding and information needs.
4. Operate
The explorer is deployed, monitored and either handed over with documentation or enrolled in managed hosting.
