Vertcoin releases Core 23.2
Historical retrospective compiled on 24 October 2026. Dated to the 2 October 2023 software release.
Evidence: Official software release notes.
Vertcoin released Core 23.2 with a codebase rebased on Bitcoin Core 23.2. The release notes also described reproducible builds and published signed checksum information, giving users a basis for checking distributed binaries. Maintaining a Bitcoin-derived currency involves more than preserving its original mining rules: networking, wallet behavior and build infrastructure also need ongoing attention. This release is evidence of that software maintenance. It does not by itself establish a new consensus activation, increased merchant acceptance or a particular level of network security. Its specific significance is the documented client update and its distribution process.
