Auroracoin releases a refreshed Core client

Historical retrospective compiled on 24 October 2026. Dated to the 28 June 2022 release announcement.

Evidence: Official software release.

Auroracoin version 2022.06.1.0 brought the client closer to the Bitcoin codebase, updated the list of seed nodes and included fixes for modern build environments. Seed nodes help clients discover peers, while build fixes help maintainers and users compile the software on newer systems. These are practical maintenance tasks for a long-running cryptocurrency whose original launch attracted far more attention than its later engineering work. The release notes document the software changes; they do not by themselves establish a rise in transaction activity, merchant adoption or the number of participating users.
